Do you have an off the wall idea and need help to make it happen?
Scarabeus bring over 30 years of experience and knowledge, which have given them a deep and intuitive understanding of performance. They have worked with different companies and a wide variety of projects. They provide bespoke rigging solutions, ability to create and provide acts, and support as choreographer or movement director.
Søren designs and supervises all the rigging aspects of Scarabeus productions. This has involved site specific shows rigged in unusual location such as buildings, trees, tall ships, aerial structures and even a disused satellite dish.
Søren has worked as rigging consultant, rigger and trainer for Cirque du Soleil, National Centre for Circus Arts, Wac Arts, Walk the Plank for the opening ceremony for Liverpool City of Culture, Graeae Theatre in collaboration with La Fura del Baus for Prometeus Awakes, The Generating Company on the main celebration show for the 40th anniversary of the UAE, in Abu Dhabi, watched by 40,000 people, Gravity and Levity, Emergency Exit Arts, Wildworks, Cryptic, All or Nothing for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and recently with Les Enfant Terrible for Alice in the Underground and The Fantastic Flying Exploratory Laboratory.
Daniela has collaborated as aerial director, consultant and trainer for WacArts in In Flight, with Shristi Dance Creations in Love is in the Air, Helter Skelter at the Tramway, Wildworks in Babel, Emergency Exit Arts and Skylight Circus. She has taught physical and visual theatre, Commedia dell Arte and lectured on site responsive performance, at various institutions including South Bank University, National Centre for Circus Arts, Rose Bruford College, School of Science of Acting in London, the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, Rupert Stanley College in Belfast, Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and University of the West Indies St.Augustine in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
